Watermelon is one of my favorite fruit. Some told me before that there is really nothing you can get from this fruit aside from water. At first it saddened me... but who cares anyway. I still love it specially when it's cold during a hot or warm humid days.

I can't help copying this fact and posting it here when I found that there's new studies about the fruits health benefits.

WATERMELON Health Benefits

The more we study watermelon, the more we realize just how incredible this fruit really is.

It’s full of antioxidants shown to reduce the inflammation that contributes to diabetes, asthma, atherosclerosis, colon cancer, and arthritis - but that’s not all.

Other beneficial ingredients in watermelon are known as Phytonutrients - which are naturally occurring compounds that are bioactive and able to trigger healthy reactions within our body.

1. Asthma – The antioxidants, such as Citrulline in watermelon can reduce toxins in the body. Some of these toxins are believed to trigger asthma attacks.

2. Arthritis – Watermelon is rich in Vitamin C and Beta-Carotenes. Both have anti-inflammatory properties that can help relieve the symptoms of arthritis.

3. Bladder Problems – Containing 92% water, this melon acts as a natural diuretic that cleanses your kidney and bladder.

4. High Cholesterol – The cleansing properties of watermelon may also reduce the risk of clogged arteries. The fruit is also believed to increase HDL (good cholesterol levels).

5. Constipation – A glass of watermelon juice can naturally eliminate waste and promote proper digestion.

6. Bloating – Again, the diuretic effect of watermelon can eliminate water retention. It is especially recommended for women who retain fluids during menstruation or pregnancy.

7. Heart Disease – Watermelon contains Folic acid and Citrulline that works in tandem with other essential vitamins. Some research indicates that these vitamins may reduce the risk of a heart attack, stroke and colon cancer.

8. Itchy Skin – As the water from the melon cleanses your system, it can flush out the toxic waste that cause some forms of itchiness.

9. Prostate Cancer – The Lycopene in watermelon has been extensively reported to reduce the risk of prostate cancer.

10. Blemishes – Watermelon can also be used as a beauty aid to reduce skin blemishes. Simply rub your skin with a small piece of watermelon. Leave the juice on for 10 minutes before rinsing.

The wallet

I bought a lady wallet just very recently. My old one is still good though but I have that wallet since 2005 and it's already 2012.  That wallet was a gift for my birthday from my youth pastor reason why it was so special to me. But since there's no coin  holder there I cannot  keep my coins I have to give it away or give it to hubby.

I actually find this rfid leather wallet but it looks like a men wallet though but really nice. It's good for hubby's co'z he is my finance manager (means... he keeps the money). I am happy that my new wallet this time has money even if not that much... but still it has some amount in it.

The Bible

Got this from a friend on facebook. I can't help but smile and think of Jesus looking at me smiling as I read His words and stories in the Bible. I can't help but smile as well. Thanks to the one who made this quote. This really inspires me.

Simply creepy!

It happen to us a lot of times when our credit card got denied due to it already reach it credit limit, then the cashier lady would asked us questions like... "sir, you really own this card?". Part of me would like yo yell at the lady telling her that "yes ma'am.. its his/ours!" but of course I won't remembering I am a follower of Jesus (meaning: I am a Christian) and we should not display such attitude. There were actually time that the cashier would have to looked  and looked and compare hubby's signature just to make sure if it really matches with the cards signature. Probably hubby don't look  like he can own a credit card (lol!). I wonder though if it's mine if they will still do the same. Just imagine someone is having a background check on you co'z you look suspicious. Isn't that creepy?, even though actually at work when your boss is  having a background check on you is not really nice thought. Everyone has flaws and secret they don't want to disclose to others and having it known is really not good.

In fairness with those who has good intentions in doing so specially hiring people it's good to have this kind of personal checking to avoid fraud and problems in the future.

Thinking of Jesus Today

I woke up this morning thinking of God, my family and my life in general. That book I was reading about the life of Mother Teresa of Calcutta really made me evaluate my follower of Jesus life. I can't help but compare myself with her which is very absurd co'z mine is not even far close (east-west far).

Part of me wonder what life would be if your in Mother Teresa shoes. One thing I have conclude though is... I could be a follower of Jesus and could do what Mother Teresa did in my small (teeny tiny) way.
